Things to See and Do

Apalachicola is famous for a number of things, including its historic architecture, fabulous seafood and unique shopping opportunities. Nevertheless, the primary focus for most of our area’s visitors is the adjacent Apalachicola River and Bay, nearby Saint George Island and, of course, the Gulf of Mexico.

Whether you fish, sail, scuba dive or just like to enjoy the region’s natural beauty, there is no shortage of things to see and do.

• Just downstairs from the Loft, at Gallery 75, you can see the assorted works of famous local artist Charles S. Chapin.
• Right next store you will find the Up the Creek Raw Bar, offering delicious seafood overlooking the river.
• For fishing charters, check out Captain Greg Fletcher and the Wahoo.
